The Lo-Down: April 2021

Hi friends, I am back with another monthly recap! I am excited to share with you a little life update as well as some products I am totally obsessing over. I love doing these monthly updates just to give you a little insight into what I am into at the moment, and I think it would be fun to look back on these in the future.

Life update: she’s vaccinated

I am finally vaccinated! After months of waiting, California finally opened up the vaccine to anyone over the age of 18 and of course, I needed to sign up. I got my first dose of Pfizer and am scheduled to get my second shot in early May. I have been pretty paranoid about going out this past year, I stayed inside my house more than I probably needed to and would get pretty frequent tests. I just feel so relieved that people are getting vaccinated and cities are starting to open up because I am so ready to get back to normal life.

Products I’m Loving

My favorite products of the month are a bit all over the place. The star of the month is my new KKW Frangrance perfume, this was my first scent of hers that I had tried. I usually go for more intense and bold scents but, I was in desperate need of a spring/summer fragrance and this is such a unique floral so I am excited to wear this all summer. When it comes to home fragrance, my all-time favorite candle is Pink Sands from Yankee Candle. I don’t know what they put in this candle but I am obsessed! Another new addition is my matcha powder; I am trying to not drink as much coffee and make the transition to matcha. Obviously, I couldn’t share my monthly favorites without adding in some beauty products! The IT Cosmetics CC Cream is my go-to lightweight foundation for summer (we love the SPF 50) and a Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb is always a must. What I’m Watching

I am currently in a reality tv hole! I have already seen The Hills twice and binged The City not too long ago, so I am finally getting around to watch Laguna Beach. For being some of the most iconic shows, they are a bit difficult to find. I had to link my tv provider to the MTV app to get access [which is a LIFEHACK - if you have access to a channel on your tv you can log into their website and get access to everything.] Even though you don’t need to watch Laguna Beach before you watch The Hills, it is good to know all the backstories and the Lauren/Kristen drama. To continue with the California reality tv… I am also watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. I have on and off watched the franchise over the years and decided to go back and start from season one. I am currently watching the fourth season as I am typing this!
