4 Steps You NEED To Add To Your Skincare Routine

  1. apply hyaluronic acid under your daily moisturizer

Having an extensive night time routine with creams and serums is great but, your skin needs just as much love in the mornings. Locking in as much moisture as you can in the mornings is key to making sure you look fresh and glowy all day. Hyaluronic acid is great because it is so light and won’t make you feel greasy or like you have tons of product just sitting on your skin.

2. start using chemical exfoliants

I know you have probably heard this a hundred times but it is so important. You need to stop using exfoliating scrubs! This was a hard one for me to get behind because it took me a while to wrap my brain around the fact that a liquid was going to fix my dry skin but it has truly worked wonders. Scrubs are so damaging to the skin and the best way to fight off dry skin is using a chemical exfoliant a few times a week or every night, depending on the product and your skin type.

3. Always use SPF on your hands

It is no secret that SPF is so important to your skin and you should be applying it daily (and if you are really on top of it, reapplying it throughout the day). Although, the place that many people neglect is their hands. Your hands can age from UV exposure just as much as your face so it is important to protect them as well. Throwing on a hand lotion mixed with sunscreen before you leave the house or while you are driving in the car will help keep them young and youthful-looking.

4. Apply moisturizer to your neck/chest every day

This is such a simple step yet many people totally forget about it until it’s too late and the signs of aging are already showing. If you are going to spend the time applying and layering products to your face before bed, you can easily work this step into your routine, it takes 10 seconds and you will thank me when you’re 50!
