How To Buy Luxury Items For LESS

Having designer taste on a limited budget honestly sucks. So many people feel like they need to be super rich and have tons of money to buy luxury brands and that is simply not true. If you know how to shop you can score some amazing items from your dream brands for less. Lucky for you I am giving away my top three secrets as to how I shop designer brands for way less.
This post is all about how you can purchase luxury items at a discounted price.
Sample Sales
This is one of the best ways to get luxury items at seriously discounted prices. Sample sales or warehouse sales are typically located in bigger cities but, I have come across quite a few that have been online, which allows you to shop from anywhere. The only problem with sample sales is that they are usually limited to one or two brands at a time and only run for a certain amount of time, so it is always good to plan ahead to see when they are going to be held. They are pretty easy to find, you just have to google “sample sale in…” to find one close to you.
I live in Los Angles and my personal favorite is 260 Sample Sale, they always have a good rotation of brands and really good prices.
Vintage or Resale
Buying vintage or second-hand is a great way to get super unique designer pieces and you can usually find some at amazing prices. The resale market has exploded over the past few years so there are so many great sites and apps to use to look for items (buying vintage is also way better for the environment).
DISCLAIMER: Beware of fakes! There are so many fake luxury pieces circulating on the internet that it is important to shop through a website or store you trust. I have linked a few websites that I love and have purchased from in the past.

Sale Section
The most obvious place to purchase discounted luxury items is in the sale section of a store or online retailer. This is a great option if you are looking for brand new items because they are coming directly from the store or designer. Unfortunately, it is very common for items to be on sale because they only have a few sizes left or because the item is old and is not selling. This makes shopping in sale sections a bit harder because it can be more limited, but there are still tons of great things you can find if you really dig. In my opinion, Farfetch has THE BEST sale section ever so definitely check it out if you are going this route.
