Want to get salon-style hair from the comfort of your own bathroom? If so, keep reading because I am sharing my 3-step routine to achieve the perfect blowout at home.
After many attempts, I have finally found the perfect combination of products and tools to get the best salon-level blowout. It is so easy to do from home and, not to mention, so much cheaper than going to the hair salon. I have laid out all the steps for you below, as well as linked all the products you will need to recreate this look at home.
This post is all about how to get the perfect at-home blowout.
1. Heat Protectant
Protecting your hair from the heat is a must to keeping it healthy and strong, so a good heat protectant is necessary. My personal favorite is the Morrocan Oil Protect & Prevent Spray, I recommend putting this on your damp hair just before blow-drying. I have linked a few other really great heat protectants below to check out as well!
2. THE Secret Weapon
I have tried many times but my arms are not coordinated enough to give myself a blowout using both a round brush and dryer, so I found something that combines the two together. The Revlon On-Step Volumizer Hair Dryer is the KEY to an amazing blowout; the all-in-one brush and blowdryer make it easier than ever to give yourself salon-style hair! I also linked a few other similar hair dryers that give a similar effect depending on your hair type. When blow-drying, it is best to separate your hair into sections and work your way from the bottom to the top, rotating the brush away from your face.
3. Finishing Touches
Once your hair is completely dry it is time to add some finishing touches to lock in your blowout. (This is what is going to make it last for days!) Adding a hair oil is going to bring back some shine to your hair as well as get rid of any frizz you might have. The BEST hair oil, that I have been using for years, is the Kitoko Oil Treatment. If you are looking to add even more shine, then I suggest using a shine spray on top as well, I recommend the Drybar Sparkling Soda Shine Mist. Both of these products smell amazing and will make your hair so shiny and look like you just stepped out of the salon. I linked a few other amazing hair products below, click the photos to shop!
