Tennis Skirts
This may or may not (it definitely does) have something to do with HBO’s Euphoria. This show has not even been out for a year and is already iconic. The characters, makeup, and fashion have been blowing up social media and influencing how its viewers are dressing. After seeing Jules’s collection of tennis skirts on the show, I have virtually been seeing them everywhere. They have a 90’s tennis player/country club member type of vibe that has been huge as of late. Anything 1990-2009 is blowing up right now so this skirt is a perfect and subtle way to take part in this trend. I have already bought a tennis skirt in black and am very tempted to buy another in white because they are going to be the perfect summer staple.
String Detailing
I don’t have an exact name for this trend or style but I am starting to see it everywhere. The wraparound string details are an easy way to spice up a basic skirt or top and give it a little edge. This is such a great trend for the summer because you can show a little skin without feeling too exposed.
Nostalgia
As I mentioned above, the 90’s are fully coming back and quickly taking over. After Hailey Bieber’s photoshoot inspired by Princess Diana, I was officially sucked into this trend. With the vintage and resale market being bigger than ever it is easy to get your hands on some pre-loved items. I love thrift shopping and buying vintage bags because I know nobody else has it and I like having unique items in my closet. If buying resale isn’t your thing, so many stores and designers are coming out with 90s and early 2000 inspired pieces so this is an easy trend to get behind.
Headbands
I have been a headband stan for years and years so once headbands started blowing up the on runway and Instagram, I guess you could say I was excited. As much as I love the big padded headband look, this is not the type I am talking about. Ever since Bella Hadid was spotted wearing a black cotton headband this style has been taking over Instagram. I have been wearing this style on and off since I was in middle school and now that it is socially acceptable again, I am for sure taking advantage of it.
