New year, same recaps! We’re starting off the new year strong with a January monthly recap. Aside from getting covid, this month was so full of fun and surprises which makes me excited to see what the rest of 2022 has in store.
New Year, New Hobbies
The saying “never say never” is true in my case because something I truly never thought I would do is learn to ski. It wasn’t like I didn’t want to learn but I just didn’t know anyone to go with and kinda thought, “I’m already 24 and don’t know so it’s too late to start.” I actually hate that I used to think like that because it’s never too late to do or learn anything.
The main reason why I decided to learn was that I was invited on a ski trip to Lake Tahoe in February. I obviously could not pass this up but I didn’t want to be terrible since the person I’m going with is really good at snowboarding. I have skied for a total of 3 days now and have taken 2 lessons - I wouldn’t say I’m great but I’m not bad and can go down easy/intermediate runs.
What I’m Watching
All I do is rewatch the same shows, so I am always super behind on what’s new and have still yet to see some classic, OG shows. Right now, I am currently watching season 4 of Gilmore Girls, I have never seen this show before but have heard so much about it for years. To be honest, it’s okay and I will finish it but there is no chance I rewatch it in the future. I can appreciate the show and understand the hype but it is a little too quirky and slow for me - I NEED some drama!!
The second show I am religiously watching is season 2 of Euphoria. I can say I am enjoying the second season much more than season 1. I feel like this new season feels a lot more mature and more well-done, don’t get me wrong, the first season was great but these new episodes feel more intense and just have a better storyline to follow. I can 100% say that my creativity levels are much higher than normal due to this show.
Current Obsessions
As I mentioned in my December recap, I am all about trying new things with my hair, makeup, and style. Currently, I am obsessing over a super dewy, bronzed makeup look and a voluminous blowout. So… basically, I want to look fresh off the runway or like I just stepped out of the salon.
